Pictures To Follow

I've been making jewellery all weekend, I agreed to do a craft fair in Blandford on bank holiday Monday with a friend, the pitch is free (a deal has been struck) so nothing to lose.  I'm not a fan of craft fairs, I always imagine grannies with knitted tea cozies and the such like, its outside so fingers crossed for some decent weather!

I'm waiting for a new camera to arrive, should have come today but heyho, so will take pics when it arrives on Thursday.

I'm beginning to think that my old camera is ok, I've seen some other pics taken on the same model and they are fab (that just leaves the daft moo taking the pics as the problem) so I'm hoping I haven't shelled out shed loads of my bead budget on a new one, perhaps I should have experimented more.

22 Miles Of Bliss...............................

That's my drive home from work!  No traffic jams, breathing in other car fumes and snotty drivers for me, just the occasional tractor, rabbit and if I'm really lucky an owl or buzzard and 22 miles of bliss.

Just 5 mins from my doorstep I'm in the countryside all the way to Shaftesbury.  As you can see, its high so you can imagine the fun I have in the fog and snow.......................

The last few months have been pretty miserable for my man and I one way or another, he's had a pretty tough old time but never mind that.............

I wanted to show the pics.  Yesterday, spring really had arrived, it was a hazy, warm and sunny day (how that alone lifts your spirits) and for the first time in yonks I pulled over to admire the view, lovely ain't it, excuse the dodgy photographer with crap camera!  You can see for miles and miles and miles and I felt very small as did my problems and worries, it was obviously one of those warm fuzzy moments.  What will be will be............. Things happen for a reason, have always believed that, so for the first time in weeks went home with a smile!

Awwwwwwwwwwwww, ain't they cute, see, spring is coming!

LOVE is...........................

Letting your husband trim your hair (I'm growing it!) and still loving him when you realize the intended half inch is more like an inch and a half!!!!!!!!!! Other than that he's done a fairly good job, its straight.......................and it saved me £30.

I made these, did a silversmith course, oh, about 10 years ago but tutor was not brilliant, I was very disheartened and bless her she decided about half way through that teaching wasn't for her and gave up.  So with a bit of patience and a really good book I decided to give it a go, here's the results.  The above are two bracelets, both intended to be charm bracelets but I'm so pleased with 'em that at the mo I've left them as they are, one has been slightly textured, a little more practice is required with my hammer me thinks.

This one is for me!  Well, it will be when its finished, going to add a few more beady bits and charms.  The super stunning beautiful beads are Isabelle Anderson's (Izzy, sorry its not such a fab picture), I just can't be parted from them, they are just gorgeous and I love the texture of them.

Anyways guys, the sun is out, its a beautiful sunday, have a lovely weekend from me xxx

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

It snowed!! Woke up to a blizzard, biggest snow flakes I've ever seen, I thought it was Easterish not Christmas. Youngest was up and out in the garden trying to make a snowman but no sooner had it settled than the sun was out and it was melting in a flash (which pleased me no end, I HATE snow).  I'm only showing you this coz the snow has hidden the fact that my garden has been hideously neglected!

A truly truly DREADFUL picture!!!!  But please be gentle with it as I'm so pleased with myself, a rummage in the loft found my some of my old tools, I did a silversmith course years ago but when we moved here I was poorly and had lost interest (actually, the lady who taught me was hopeless and disheartened, I never really did much after) so tools got shoved away and forgotten. Sadly, my little torch had given up the ghost, had to invest in a new one but the nicest surprise was some packets of wire that hadn't tarnished too much.  I'm hoping for a better piccy tomorrow with better light so you can see the truly beautiful beads, a set by Isabelle Anderson.  After a complete loss of confidence and a number of melted rings, I forged a chain and clasp!

Another disgustingly dreadful pic of earrings!!!!!!!!!!!!!  :(

Better piccy of one my faves, a charm bracelet, seasidey colours on a snowy cold Sunday....oh how long is summer going to take to come?
